Happy Saturday friends of B+S! After talking to someone I hold dear to my heart about my blog, they told me I should try to make one serious post and two fun posts every week. I happen to think that’s an amazing idea! So, today, I am coming at you with The Prediction Book Tag created by the Princesses at the Book Princess Reviews blog. Their website is pretty and pink and the writing is done well. Please go check them out!

According to the Princesses, this tag is all about which books you are predicting to make an appearance in your future reading life.

Now, with every tag there are some rules:

Rules

  1. Pingback to the creator of the tag, @bookprincessreviews
  2. Tag the person who tagged you.
  3. Find an answer to match each prompt.
  4. Have fun!

Sooo… Shameless Saturday reveal: No one tagged me to do this post, but I stumbled across it, and thought it was super cute so I kinda tagged myself.

Now, on to the Prompts!

My Next Read

Occupied written by Kurt Blorstad; original photo taken by Bri Hotchkiss, creator of Books and Shadows

Occupied was a review copy sent to me by Mr. Kurt Blorstad himself. It is a historical fiction, and outside of my usual genre, but he was the first person to ask me to review their work and I couldn’t turn down the opportunity. Besides, I’m a big fan of period films, so historical fiction novels was something I was looking to get into anyway. You can get your copy here.

My Next 5 Star Read…

The Wicked King by Holly Black; original photo by Bri Hotchkiss creator of Books and Shadows

If you check out my March TBR, you will see that I’m diving into The Folk of the Air series with full force. I am almost done with The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King is next in the series. I’m sure many of you have heard about this amazing series already, and have read it for yourselves, so you know why I think it’s going to be a 5 star read.

My Next 1 Star Read…

Red Clocks written by Leni Zumas; photo taken from Amazon

I don’t like to give any book 1 star honestly. I can find the good in almost any one that I read. But for sake of having an answer, I would have to give Red Clocks the 1 star award. Why you ask? Well, I started reading this book last year, and it went into my DNF pile. The book spoke on very heavy issues in society, with abortion and Women’s Rights at the forefront, and I found it a little too much. I read YA Fantasy, so you can see how this was a complete 180 for me. Not to mention that it was very hard to follow… the sentence structure style was a bit unusual and I just had to take a pass on it. But, if you’re into these types of works, check it out for yourself! Just click this link.

My Next Love Interest( or Character that Seems Really Cool to You.)

All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace; OwlCrate exclusive cover design; original photo by Bri Hotchkiss creator of Books and Shadows

Luckily, I’m diving into All the Stars and Teeth after I read my review copy of Occupied. I cannot wait to dig into this book, and the main character Amora sounds like my type of chick! She is a Princess of the Sea, and I was a huuuuuge Little Mermaid fan when I was wittle gworl, so I know that I will fall deeply in love with her character.

Next Book I’ll Be Buying…

The Raven Cycle Series written by Maggie Stiefvater; photo taken from Amazon

So with this prompt, I had to go with not one book, but an entire series. The Raven Cycle series is one that has been on the tippy top of my “To Buy” list. The owner of OwlCrate, Korrina, brags about this series so much that my curiosity was more than piqued. The way she gushed over these books, they were bound to be amazing… so I have to buy! What’s OwlCrate you ask? Check out my blog post 3 Reasons Why You Need OwlCrate for all the deets.

There you have it guys! My Prediction Book Tag responses. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Now to nominate my fellow bloggers to play along:
