Heeeeey friends of B+S! If you’re seeing WWW, then you know it’s Wednesday… and on Wednesdays it’s all about the W’s:

  1. What am I currently reading?
  2. What did I recently finish?
  3. What do I think I’ll read next?!

That’s right! It’s another B+S meme day, and WWW Wednesday is the shining star. This wonderful meme was created and hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

Please click that link and check out Sam’s blog, her writing is amazing, and her comment sections have great conversation. Thanks so much for the lovely meme Sam.

Now, where were we?

Ah, yes, that’s right… my 3 W’s. Let’s get to it then, shall we?

Oh wait, Bri, you forgot to tell them the most important part… Duh! Ok guys, this WWW Wednesday is a little special because I’m taking out 2 of those W’s and just focusing on one!

I know!

I will be talking about “What I’m currently reading” because, for the first time, I’m reading multiple books at once. Three to be exact. I know! I know! Crazy, right? I know for many other bibliophiles out there, starting more than one book at a time is nothing, child’s play at best. But for me, that’s no easy task. I’m not really skilled in the art of multi-reading. It’s something I’m training myself to do this year, and I’m liking the results.

So instead of writing a really long post about all 3 W’s, I’ll give you 3 examples of the same W. Switch it up a little eh?

Ok, no more wasting time. Let’s do this!

What am I currently reading?

The Binge Watching Cure II

The Binge-Watching Cure II is an anthology of horror stories designed to keep your nose in your book, and your eyes off of your TV. The first story starts off with only a few words (as long as a Tweet) and every progressing chapter you read gets just a little bit longer. It’s an entertaining concept, the stories are really creepy, and the writing is amazing.

This book was sent to me as a review copy, and I’ve sat on it for too long. It became a victim of my anxiety crash when the quarantine first happened, and I’m just now picking it back up. It’s over 400 pages, so it’s taking me a while, but I’m getting there.

The Wicked King

We all know about the lovely Holly Black and her dark and lovely world of the Fae. Well, I finished up The Cruel Prince in January and wanted to jump on to the second book before too much of the first book slipped my mind. I only got to page 14 of it, but every bit counts, I’ve always believed.

In fact, my very first blog post talked about the importance of reading anything, no matter how big or small the amount of reading getting done. Don’t be ashamed of your reading habits, just read! Your way, your style, your speed.

I digress…

Magic is a book written about… well…. magic. So many answers about our world and how it started, and magic’s role in it all can be explained in this little red book. It’s a super fun story, and I feel like a babe (dorky smile and wide eyes to match) while reading it.

I received this as a review copy just yesterday. It’s so cute and quirky. I love it already. I can’t wait to get the review up this weekend!

So those are Bri’s 3 W’s for the moment, and I think I have enough to current readings to satisfy the next couple of weeks of my life. I’ve been reading a lot slower these days, so I’m just taking the pace as it comes. No rush.

Please leave a comment linking me to your WWWs if you partake, I would love to know what everyone is doing.

Until next time, guys…
