Hey friends of B+S! This past week of my life has been hectic, which is insane considering we’re still on lock-down. I haven’t had any time to write or read because my days were consumed by either death-welcoming cramps or a screaming 3, 5 and/or 8-year-old wreaking havoc on my home and nerves (I still love them so though…) Anywho, I’m glad it’s Wednesday because I get to share my reading journal with you guys, and remind myself that last week is forever in the past. This weekly meme is becoming more of a monthly meme for me, and I’m ok with that. Here’s another WWW Wednesday guys!

This wonderful meme was created and hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. Thnx Sam!!

In my last book meme, F is for Friday, I talked about how Sci-Fi I was feeling, and that I had my eyes and heart set on reading Crier’s War. I’ve only gotten about 80 pages in, but I am really digging the storyline thus far. I think it will unfurl some interesting twists and turns. I don’t have much to report on it now though… besides, I plan to do a review and will share my love or not so love of this Automae tale then.

I received this magical book as a review copy, and I really loved it. It was quaint and quirky, silly and serious, a really easy read with a big picture idea of the world. It was a nice break from the usual YA Fantasy that I usually read, and it gave me some great inner perspective.

You can check the review here.

April marked my 1 year anniversary being an OwlCrate subscriber. As my OC collection continues to evolve, I felt that I should go back and finish the books from the previous year that I haven’t read yet. The two oldest books in this category are Spin the Dawn and The House of Salt and Sorrows, so they would be perfect places to start.

I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Spin the Dawn and the most excited about starting that one. However, I do feel like a bunch of my recent reads have been “sea-themed”, so I’m not sure how bored I will be reading The House of Salt and Sorrows… hopefully not so much though!

Either way, I’m eager to get to these books because I’m due for another OC box in one week and the list will be ever-growing.

So that’s what’s been keeping me busy and what’s going to keep me busy for the next couple of weeks. Leave a comment or two and let me know what you think, if you’ve read these, or link your WWW post… I would love to see what you’re up to!
